The Natural Angler's Cabin is
located in the quiet town of Matagorda, less than a two hours
drive from Houston, Texas. The home is along the Colorado
River with a fantastic view from the deck. Since it is
the last house on the river, we are the first to get to
the beach, and of course, the first to cast to redfish, trout,
flounder, and various game fishes coming in from the Gulf of
Mexico. The fishing is indeed wonderful here, especially at
night!

Warm tropical breezes
from the Gulf of Mexico in summer and mild temperatures in the
winter make Matagorda, Texas your perfect year-round vacation
spot. Matagorda is for the ultimate outdoors-person! It
offers beachcombing, sun bathing, swimming, birding, excellent
pier and boat fishing, kayaking, water skiing, and just plain
relaxing.
Sometimes if you are
lucky, you may get a dolphins sighting from the deck
view. This is rare treat, but I was fortunate to catch
sight of 2 dolphins just visiting from Gulf of Mexico last
year.
